When purchasing glasses, here are three things to ask your optician to ensure you maximize eyewear health, safety and comfort.
1. AR Coating
When getting eyeglasses, ask for "AR coating," which stands for anti-reflective coating. This will minimize glare and reflections on your lenses by allowing more light to pass through your lens vs bouncing off of it. This coating is beneficial for all glasses, but especially useful if you're on video often (from Zoom to general camera filming).
2. Nose Pad Adjustment
Improper nose pad adjustment can lead to excess sinus pressure, which can create migraines and even sinus infections. Ask an experienced optician to adjust your eyeglasses or sunglasses properly to avoid health issues.
3. Driving Glasses
Did you know you can get driving-specific glasses to direct glare away from your central vision? These are designed to create a clearer vision and safer driving.
