Frequently Asked Questions

All luxury glasses from Alexander Daas come with a lens cloth and lens cleaning solution. If you don't have a lens cloth, you'll want to use a 100% cotton material and a mild dish soap to avoid scratching the lens.

To find the right size for your designer eyeglasses, you'll need to measure the lens width, bridge width, and temple length. The easiest way to do this at home is with a ruler or measuring tape. If you need help finding the perfect fit for your face shape and vision needs, book a styling appointment with an optician. We use a special measuring method to ensure you find a pair of glasses that expertly fits your needs.

If you need your glasses adjusted, bring them to a local Alexander Daas shop. We offer complimentary adjustments like tightening the screws in your hinges and adjusting your nosepads for a more comfortable fit.

Multifocal eyeglasses have multiple viewing powers in one lens. These lenses are best for individuals who have a combination of nearsightedness and farsightedness. Individuals with presbyopia who have trouble focusing on close objects can also benefit from multifocal eyeglasses.

Progressive lenses are the most advanced multifocal lenses. At the top, they begin with your distance prescription, then gradually add more plus power as you move down the lens, reaching your full reading strength at the bottom. This creates a full range in the middle for different intermediate focal points, perfect for your computer, phone, cooking, and more. With no visible line, they not only deliver sharp vision but also look great aesthetically.

Other types of multifocals include bifocals, which combine distance and reading prescriptions separated by a lined segment, and trifocals, which add a second lined segment for intermediate vision along with distance and reading prescriptions.
