Customized Eyewear

When you buy sunglasses from Alexander Daas, you have the choice to add various treatments to upgrade and customize your sunglasses, including:

  • Anti-Reflective Coating - This special coating is available on sunglasses to minimize glare and reflections on the surface of the lens, preventing any light from bouncing off the backside of the lens.
  • Polarized - Polarizing your sunglasses will cut glare by blocking reflecting light bouncing off of surfaces.
  • Transition/Photochromic - These lenses will react to UV by getting darker as you step outside and they will clear up when you step back inside. This makes it easier to move throughout your day without switching glasses.

Protect Your Purchase 

Your eyewear purchase from our San Diego boutique includes a lens cloth and lens cleaning solution. We recommend that you use this to properly care for your sunglasses.

Eye-Wear-&-Tear Coverage is also available through our boutique to further protect your investment in designer sunglasses. Your eyewear purchase will be insured within one year against non-warranty damage, loss, or theft. If either occurs, you can replace your frame and/or lenses for an identical pair at 50% off the replacement value. This coverage only costs 10% of the MSRP of the eyewear purchase and this 10% will become store credit in the form of a gift card if the insurance is unused within the year. Coverage can be added at the time of purchase, pick-up, or up to 30 days after pick-up (complete prescription pairs).

To make the most out of your styling appointment, we will have you answer a few  virtual styling questions so we can curate a selection for you in advance.

A visual acuity test and autorefraction are the portion of an eye exam to evaluate your lens prescription. It is not an eye health exam. Per AOA recommendations, adults should have a full comprehensive eye exam and health checkup at least once every two years. We are happy to provide you with a referral to get a comprehensive eye exam. This Vision Test is $50 or free with eyewear purchase. It is a telemedicine platform by Smart Vision Labs and prescriptions are evaluated by their eye doctors.
